ClamVision functions as a universal sensor integration platform for marine construction equipment, with pre-built drivers for over 90 hardware devices and support for standard industrial protocols.

Sensor categories supported

Positioning:

  • GPS and GNSS receivers (any brand supporting NMEA output)
  • Inertial Navigation Systems: Applanix POS MV, SBG Ellipse, Teledyne S7K
  • NTRIP RTK correction clients (built-in, no external software needed)

Motion and attitude:

  • Inclinometers — pitch, roll, and heave
  • Gyrocompasses and electronic compasses
  • Heave compensation sensors

Equipment encoders:

  • Cable counters (boom wire, bucket cable)

Adding a new sensor

The ClamVision driver architecture is designed for extensibility. Each sensor type is a self-contained driver module that handles communication, parsing, and data delivery to the rest of the application. New drivers for customer-specific hardware can be added without changes to the core application.
