ClamVision includes a native Android application built with .NET MAUI that brings live dredge monitoring to a tablet or smartphone. The mobile app is not a simplified view — it runs the same core engine as the desktop application.
What the mobile app shows
- Live plan view — real-time equipment position, bite footprints, and design surface on a touch-enabled map
- 3D visualization — OpenGL-rendered three-dimensional view of the dredge and survey surfaces
- Sensor data overlay — depth, GPS status, tide level, and other sensor readings displayed over the map
- Layers panel — touch-friendly controls to toggle surface layers, bite history, imagery, and equipment visibility
- Project management — open, create, and manage project files directly on the device
Connectivity
The mobile app connects to live sensor data via:
- Direct serial port connection to sensors over USB or Bluetooth
- Network connection to a ClamVision Relay Server for remote viewing
- Local Wi-Fi connection to sensors on the same vessel network
Use cases
- Project manager monitors progress from shore while the dredge is operating
- Inspector verifies grade compliance from a site visit boat
- Second operator on a multi-machine spread monitors the overall project while the primary operator focuses on the immediate dig
- Office staff review production figures without going out to the vessel
